Large sized model (1/2 scale) of Dals Rostock’s old railway station. The original station was situated in the same place between 1908 and 1941. The old route of the Dalslandsbanan is today the route between Oslo and Gothenburg and the track runs close by. The scale model was built in the year 2000. It recreates the period of the 1920’s and 30’s. You can walk inside (height 1.44m) and see the waiting room, ticket office and the station master’s accommodation together with 1/2 scale furniture, replica wood burning stoves and a kitchen range. The entrance key can be borrowed from Byxfickans grocery shop for SEK 30. The shop is nearby and open every day 10.00 –19.00. A guided tour can be organised.
